I was born and raised in England (spent my teenage years in Stratford-upon-Avon), and emigrated to Canada in 1976. In 1997, we moved to Jakarta, Indonesia; in 2001 we went to Gaborone, Botswana; and in 2003 we relocated to Johannesburg, South Africa. In 2011, we’ll be retiring permanently to the village of Montejaque in Andalucia, Spain. I will then have time to write my thoughts on being an expat wife for 13 years, entitled “When I Die, I Want to Come Back as an Expat Wife.”
